What are these weird triangle things that have appeared on some metro turnstiles, security scanners?

The only thing that these triangle things are safeguarding is the Moscow metro’s fare collection system. They have been installed so that people don’t hop through by putting their hands down on the turnstiles and swinging their legs over the motion sensors.

Luckily for would-be free-riders, the Moscow metro costs less than a dollar to ride to any station, so people are not losing much by having to pay for their rides.
